A.J.Brown lives in rural North Somerset (UK) with her husband and their cocker spaniel Bella, who will undoubtedly appear in a future book. The dog, not her husband! She has two grown-up children who have helped encourage her on her creative journey - a far cry from her day job of teaching Business and Maths at the local Quaker school. Sam was their haughty black cat, who has since moved on to pastures new. The move to the USA for three years ignited her desire to write children’s fantasy action/adventure stories. While walking the streets of New York, the story of Max, Sam, and the Spirit stones took shape. She has always enjoyed reading fantasy fiction tales with a spiritual essence – Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia, Terry Pratchett’s Disc world. Stepping into another world where magical things can happen, and the spirit of goodness and evil play out always ignited a curiosity in her. She wanted to combine the excitement of magic and mystique with an action-packed adventure. She hopes that her stories moral underbelly will help young and old to learn to recognise the goodness in everyone.
